File Name: ore deposit geology and its influence on mineral exploration .zip
The hyperspectral remote sensing technology has been available to the research community for more than three decades. Since in its first steps the hyperspectral technology was also promoted as a tool for mineral exploration. Numerous mineral exploration applications of hyperspectral remote sensing have been reported.

Useful tools are a geologists hammer and a phone to take pictures and register GPS points. This first lecture covers basic geology and introduces terms such as minerals, mineralization and ore. It also introduces exploration, how it is done and why. We use metals in most of our everyday items, such as phones, computers, cars, cutlery and infrastructure. Metals such as iron and copper are common and used in many things, while others such as rare earth elements or indium are less common. All metals have one thing in common — they are extracted from the ground. Metals are extracted from minerals.
Why another book about Ore Deposits? There are a number of factors which motivated us to write this text and which may provide an answer to this question.
These materials include precious and base metals , nonmetallic minerals and construction-grade stone. Today, it may be called the scientific study of the Earth's sources of mineral raw materials and the practical application of the acquired knowledge. The techniques employed by other earth science disciplines such as geochemistry , mineralogy , geophysics , petrology and structural geology might all be used to understand, describe, and exploit an ore deposit. Economic geology is studied and practiced by geologists.
