This Directive takes effect on April 1, , with compliance required by no later than April 1, This Directive will have an automatic review process planned every 6 months after the date it comes into effect. It is also argued that only rule-based systems of automatized decision-making are compatible with the rule of law and that there is a general interest in preventing a development into a rule of algorithm.
